10 décembre 2020
ALE listed by ISG as Leader in its Quadrant Report, reflecting the company's strong market position, attractive solutions, innovation and thought leadership.
December 10th, 2020 – Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, has been ranked as a leading provider of Unified Communication and Collaboration by the international technology research and advisory firm ISG. The “Digital Workplace of the Future – Services and Solutions, Germany 2020” Quadrant Report published by Information Services Group, Inc. (ISG) positions Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise in the UCC Leader quadrant.
The Quadrant Report is part of the ISG Provider Lens™ programme that delivers actionable research studies focused on technology and service providers’ strengths and weaknesses and how they are positioned relative to their peers in the market. It classifies the surveyed providers into four categories – Leaders, Product Challengers, Market Challengers, and Contenders.
The report states that providers in the Leaders quadrant “have a highly attractive product and service offering and a very strong market and competitive position; they fulfil all requirements for successful market cultivation. They can be regarded as opinion leaders, providing strategic impulses to the market. They also ensure innovative strength and stability.”
According to ISG, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s success comes from its focus on delivering an easy-to-use flexible interface, which contributes to its outstanding customer satisfaction rating, and from its network management system that “helps carry out operations smoothly in a safe and secure manner”, offering network administrators a unified overview of their users and networks. The researchers also underline the innovative VoIP encryption that “enables companies to benefit from the full business potential of VoIP with no impact on the quality or scalability.”
The ISG report defines Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) as integrated solutions that combine state-of-the-art collaboration tools with telephony. Providers of cloud-based audio/video conferencing solutions with features such as chat, remote access and screen sharing, that focus on companywide information exchange and team-based collaboration and protect information through encryption and compliance with recognised security and privacy standards, were considered by ISG. The solutions had to support various devices as well as softphone features, integration of PBX telephony and integrated voice over Internet (VoIP), and be available in freemium and on-premises versions.
RainbowTMby Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise meets all these eligibility criteria. The cloud-based app securely connects users to their business environment. Using the powerful open platform, employees can collaborate more productively with their colleagues, anywhere and anytime. Rainbow services include instant messaging, the display of presence information, screen sharing, file sharing, audio/video calls and conferences. The integrated audio quality control ensures optimal sound and warns the user of problems with network quality. The UCC solution, which is deployed as a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), offers the highest level of security through end-to-end encryption, full GDPR compliance, hosting in European data centres, and ISO 27001 certification.
